Firstly, let’s start with the basics before you move here. You may be only thinking of moving to Australia but don’t have an idea of what is it like and where is best to move to (and that’s OK – we were all like this at one point) so here is what you need to get started!
• VISA SUBCLASS 417: The most common is working holiday visa (subclass 417) which entitles you to work anywhere in Australia for up to 1 year for a maximum duration of 6 months with 1 company.
• EXTEND YOUR VISA ANOTHER YEAR: Visa holders are required to complete 88 days’ work in regional parts of Australia. There are many different types of work available but the most common in farming/agriculture. Dairy, sheep, beef, chicken farms are popular as well as fruit/vegetable/crop farms.
• GET SPONSORED AND STAY LONGER: Visa holders may get sponsored by a company in a skilled shortage visa for a duration of 2-4 years.
• VISA IS GRANTED!!!!: You have 12 months to enter the country, after that you will need to apply again. From your date of entry you have 12 months until your visa expires. You must be outside of Australia at the time of applying for this visa.
