First Female Employee of the Month!
Following on from our April employee of the month Hunter Labour Hire is delighted to announce that the employee of the month for May is Emily Rossi! Emily joined the largely male dominated labour hire team at the start of February this year, and has since then shown that regardless of stereotypes, with a brilliant attitude and incredible work ethic the construction industry is a workplace for both males and females. She becomes the first female to win our employee of the month competition and deservedly so!
Demolition Work With A Smile!
Emily joined the team back in February this year and hasn’t missed a single day of work since joining. On site Emily is responsible for several tasks ranging from demolition work using jack hammers, general labouring, material handling, site clean-up and assisting tradesmen. Regardless of the task in hand Emily has always completed it to her best ability and with a smile on her face. Her can do attitude to tasks she didn’t have previous experience with has been phenomenal, she picks up new techniques extremely quickly and can be left to work independently with confidence that the task will be completed to a very high standard. Finally, from an admin perspective, Emily has always had her timesheet in on time without having to be chased by the team here.
Statement From Our Client’s Site Manager – Luke
“I’ve been very happy with Emily and have found her to be useful and helpful on site. Emily is more than capable and has been responsible for opening and locking the site in recent weeks. She is hardworking, reliable and has proven herself on all tools onsite; she is an asset to your company.”
Employee Statement – Emily
“I just wanted to say thank you to Hunter Labour Hire for nominating me for employee of the month. I really enjoy working with Hunter Labour Hire because they always try their best to find you work. They also have the best placements. In addition to that everyone that works at the agency are awesome and super accommodating.”
Workplace Gender Equality in Construction
Statistics from the latest “Gender competition of the workforce” survey (Workplace Gender Equality Agency Australia – April 2016) show that out of the 19 industry sectors the construction industry has the largest differential between male and female employees dominated by 88.3% male and 11.7% female. These statistics help emphasise how impressive Emily’s achievements are.
